🎄 Christmas in July: What Really Happens Behind the Scenes at Designs by Diza

If you're anything like me, seeing Christmas decorations in July probably makes you laugh a little.

But here's a little secret...

For small handmade businesses, Christmas doesn't begin in November. It starts in the middle of summer.

While everyone else is enjoying backyard BBQs, beach days and sunshine, I'm already thinking about ornaments, personalized gifts, colour palettes and holiday collections.

Why?

Because creating handmade products takes time.

Every new ornament has to be designed, tested and adjusted. Colours need to be chosen. Materials need to be ordered. Product photos have to be taken, listings written and packaging prepared.

There's a lot that happens behind the scenes long before a product ever makes it onto my website.

This year's Christmas collection is already taking shape inside my workshop.

I'm looking back at customer favourites from previous years, experimenting with new ideas and creating pieces that I hope will become part of your family's holiday traditions.

One of my favourite parts of this process is seeing an idea go from a simple sketch to a finished keepsake that someone will hang on their tree year after year.

Those are the moments that remind me why I love what I do.

So if you start seeing a little more Christmas around here over the next few months... now you know why.

Christmas may still be months away, but behind the scenes, it's officially Christmas in July.
